I think there's regular games at both the West Beck and Penge Con Clubs . .
. . failing that go to the Big Slick website as there is poker there every night of the week!

Not so much with buy-ins, but BeachTree holds a 12-week league format, with top two players qualifying for regionals, and 3rd to 10th qualifying for the play-offs. We've just finished our first 12-week stint.
Next 12-weeker starts this week.
Held every Thursday. Usually around 8pm start.

The man you want to speak to about the poker night @
THE PENGE CONSERVATIVE CLUB is Bob Todd.
He runs it at least once a month on a Friday night |

The Penge one starts at 7.30 and is is ?10 entry (1200 chips) and ?5 rebuys (1000 chips) until 9.00 and then a freeze out comp from then on.
Last month they had 27 runners and a pot of about ?550 paid out to the top 5, around ?260 the winner. Cash tables after a few have been knocked out.
Bar open til 12, ?2.30 a pint, and the last time a buffet was provided. Dont know if the grub was a one off but it was appreciated.
Always a good night.

4 or 5 regular players at the Earl of Eldon. Mostly Pool team players.
Friendly ?5 games played -- often after pool nights.
Guv'nor wants to attract more and at earlier times but getting people to show up at advertised times seems a nightmare -- so it's whenever they feel like it at the mo.
Anyone interested in something more regular weekly then PM me and I'll pass it on.
They evn don't mind relative newbs trying out for just a couple of nicker to start with. Friendly. |

OK. Now seems Thursday has been chosen @ The Eldon. Some new interest and players arrive from 7.30.
Straight ?5 games.
Newbs can be accommodated as various levels currently playing.
If more interest then tables can be set for different levels and possibility of a larger tournament if interest continues to develop.
-------------
With the right level of interest the Guv may add to the prize pot - although chipsets will remain at the initial rate. No more to play -- more to win! |
