Are there any plans to run this again? If so, are there any dates in the calendar for it yet?

Feel free to liase with me as I have a spare date for Surrey comps and its between this or a 3 man event.

If Croydon do a Scotch doubles we will do a 3man.
Our date is going to be Sunday 16th August for either of these

I would like to run a scotch doubles tournament this year

At the moment I am busy getting ready for the Croydonpool.com open, but once that is done I will be looking into possible dates for this one

Would be great if you could do the 3 man comp

May and June are likely to be very busy in the calendar, but I think July has potential for the scotch doubles, or perhaps the August Bank Holiday

Paul give me a shout if you want and we can have a chat about dates. Also go and have a look at the Calendar on surreypool to see what is currently going on and what is free

For what it's worth I liked the format of Hallibut's scotch doubles comp which was a combination of singles and scotch doubles. Obviously ?50 entry is a bit on the steep side for this but at ?20-25 a pairing say there could be some interesting partnerships.

Can't remember exactly but I think it was 4 frames of singles and 3 frames of scotch doubles - each round best of 7. May have been more frames than that but you get the idea.

The way Sean run it was:

Each round best of 15. 8 singles and 7 scotch doubles.

I think that's ok for ?50 entry but for ?20 probably a bit much.
