One of my side said to me (Fieldsy) when the draw for the Last 16 came out - David & Harrison will win it, so I guess we have to stick with that prediction. Although, Pickett & Kelly will start as the odds on favourites. |

...and i was right,cracking final went right to the wire,could of gone either way to be honest...but think on merit the warbank boys deserved it ...5-4 well done

Congrats Ian & Scott, deserved winners in the end.
I don't think Kyle or myself done enough in the end to deserve it, we missed balls we shouldn't have, and had we nicked the decided, I think the lads would have felt very hard done by.
Good guys Scott and Ian, so I'm genuinely happy for them. They put a lot of hours in up at Suzy's improving thier game, so nice to see them get some silverware to match.
Kyle and myself really enjoyed our run to the final, with the Scotch doubles format making for a really good challenge. You learn more about someone's game playing a few frames of scotch doubles with them than you ever would simply playing singles with them. Great format.
Once again, Congratulations Lads, Hats off.
Oh. . . And thanks to all the spectators last night too. Was a good crowd by the time the last three frames came round, made for a really enjoyable atmosphere to play in.

It was scheduled for a best of 5, but all 4 players agreed it should be a longer distance, to do it justice.

We have been putting in the hours lately to improve our game and we both played out of our skins last night to win.
The pressure playing the last few frames was immense! Hence missing a few dolly balls from both sides.
Ian and myself are well chuffed to win as we were quite rightly the underdogs at the start of the night.
Longshanks we both agreed to play best of 9 before we started to make an evening of it. Playing best of 5 in a final is just too short.
Also a big thanks to the people who turned up last night to watch it made the evening even better.

I saw pretty much the whole match, and it was a well fought battle for all players. You could certainly feel the tension in the air in the final frame decider. It had a bit of everything in the match and was great to watch. Well done to both sets of players.
