Group B

Patriots 5 - 5 Jolly "A"

Patriots will be checking their lottery numbers after this escape, we shd have won min 7-3, but we somehow missed 3 blacks that were not difficult, still a good start for us against a very good team, Cuemasters at home next...good luck Guys in next 2 games Smile

Heard the Cuemasters won 9-1 in their game v The Warbank

Yes it was 9-1. Played well to go 6-0 up then had some luck in games 7 and 9.

Group a

farley loyalists 3-7 untouchables
great match last night and a good result stormed into a 5-0 lead at the start of the first set, yet have to say we were gifted at least 3 of the frames... So I would say the farley must have felt harsh being 5-0 down.... 2nd set we let ourselves down.. the 2nd starting with me easy black well a tap in over the hole I got down , and just hit it only for it to trickle across and drop in the bottom right corner.. My nightmare continues on the farley tables, so from 6-1 up it went 6-2 Stacy having 2 shoots u think game over only for him to snooker himself, then steps up man of the moment Joel, he breaks in off steve rowlinson pots a ball plays another it's all over quality dish .... Then same in the last 7-2 up Danny Kelliher breaks in off, Paul Picton steps up and takes out a quality dish to end it 7-3 the end handshake

Flattering result for us last night, could so easily have been a draw.
With the other match also going 7-3 though it keeps everyone's destiny in thier own hands.

Untouchables & Eagles 7
Loyalists & Magnum Force 3

Massive result for the Cuemasters. . . The group of death could well have claimed it's first victim in week 1.

Looking at the other groups, The group of death is right. If you got anyone of these fixtures in the 1/4 final no one would have thought twice about it so getting 3 in the same group is tough. This was always going to be a tight group so a 9-1 defeat in week 1, means they are likely to need 8-2's in their remaining fixtures to progress starting with the patriots next week it hard to see.

I would say 16 points in this stage will give you a decent chance of getting through with 18 points plus likely to top the group.

Rack Pack won 6-4 against The Eden... Could easily been 4-1 up at the break... Another missed opportunity in the 6th frame meant they held their nerve well to steal another frame to make it 3-3 before going 5-3... 1 more frame each saw us take the win where roles were reversed and we were a little fortunate to win the last...

Good game... Great atmosphere between the teams...

It looks like its going to be a close group...

Not sure we will agree with you Triple C, as we felt that we should have been 4-1 up at the turn instead of 3-2 down! Funny how we all see the games.

The turning point in the match was at 3 each and frame 7 with two shots in hand on the black, and it came just as we had got the momentum going.

How we haven't taken at least a draw is still baffling, but the Rack Pack did what they had to do and I guess the difference was you are used to winning at the moment, something we seem to have lost our appetite for.

It was another smash up job by the Cuemasters, there was about 4 frames, where we hardly had a chance to win.
A little bit of lady luck to play its part, but thats pool at the end of the day, when you have the luck, take advantage!

Well played by them, and all the best in the group.
