Sorry for the late notice but we don't currently have a competitions secretary so there is a lack of organisation and promotion of this event.
Sunday 5th June
Payment (non refundable) secures spot;
?10 entry to Main Event;
?5 for Ladies and Junior Events;
Payment (at this stage) should be made in person to Simon Le Marchant or directly into the Surrey County Pool Association bank account - please PM or contact Simon DIRECTLY (and NOT by posting on this thread) for the relevant details.
?1000 prize fund BASED ON 64 entrants, which would be split as follows:
?400 to winner;
?200 to runner-up;
?100 to losing semi-finalists; and
?50 to losing quarter-finalists.
Please note that the Prize Fund WILL BE REDUCED if we get less than 64 entrants.
Format for Main Event ? Straight knockout. Best of 9 frames until the Quarter Finals. The match lengths will then be increased dependant on the time left in the day.
The Main Event is scheduled to start at 11am. Doors will open at 10am where registration will take place until 10.45 and the draw will then take place.
We are looking to start the Ladies and Junior Events at 1.30pm. The Ladies Event will be a Round Robin format and is to be run by Claire McKee.
There will also be a Plate competition for first and second round losers, however, this is unlikely to start before 2.30pm. The cost to enter this will be the usual ?5.
i want to turn up art this event but i dont know who simon is let alone get the money to him.. shall i just turn up on day and will i be put in? yes or no?
