World Qualifiers at JFK's

Just thought I'd mention these here as the first event is on Monday. (I will submit an article for this site this evening Golden).

World Championship Qualifier
1pm - Monday May 26th
Limited to 32 runners - entry ?20
The qualifier is open to UK residents aged over 18 only.
4 semi finalists will progress (along with the top 4 players from the other 7 qualifiers held across the country) to a further competition of 32 entrants to be held in Leicester - where the top 8 players will win singles places at the World Championships.

2008 World Masters Qualifier at JFK's
7.30pm Thursday 29th May
?15 entry (7pm registration)
World Rules
Subject to 16 entries 2 players will receive ?40 entry plus ?80 accommodation
GLCPA EPA cardholders only
Finals will be held at Imperial Hotel, Blackpool on 5th & 6th July

I've now heard that the final qualifying round in Leicester has been scrapped and that only 1 goes through from each venue. This might need to be confirmed though.

Confirmed. One qualifier from each venue will qualify direct for a singles spot at the World Championships (subject to 16 paid entries).
